One Sketch A Day: Month 2
I’m almost sixty days into my One Sketch A Day endeavor, so I thought I’d share a few from month 2. For no particular reason, I’ve been trying to pick a theme for each 4-panel spread, thus far sticking mostly to comic book characters and pop culture stuff. I’m sure at one point I’ll either get bored of that, or run out of characters that interest me enough to draw them, but so far, I’m having fun with it. A couple of interesting things have happened:
1) It’s getting easier. I’ve got a long way to go, but I feel like I’m beginning to shake off some cobwebs.
2) I’ve found a decent use for Facebook. I’m not sure how long that will last, because I get the feeling that once the novelty of seeing Link and Samus in their Timeline wears off, people will start getting annoyed at seeing Link and Samus in their Timeline (art, blech!). But for the time being, I’m sharing drawings there, too.
3) I’ve picked up some company. A few people told me they’ve been motivated to take on a similar project. Most of them were filthy liars, but one of my brothers-from-another-mother started posting (semi-) regular sketches, and that’s pretty cool. It’s kind of like the college days, when we’d all draw together every night, and everybody tried to outdo each other. We totally built each other up with friendly competition. So inspiring! I will crush him.
A reminder, you can follow me on Instagram (username: alexdeligiannis) or Twitter, where I post these pretty much every night. Thanks!

These daily sketches are fantastic. I’m amazed by how finished they all look too! Must be a pretty significant time commitment!

Had a chance to check out the actual Alex’s sketch-a-day sketchbook at the SDCC… I was just blown away by his art!
