Crush County

Seeing as September is coming to a close, I probably should have posted this a few weeks ago, but here are some sketches from August, my fifth month of trying to fill this One Sketch A Day sketchbook. I tried my hand at a few real-world caricatures in this set, with mixed results. Eazy and Snoop turned out pretty good; Cube and Dre, less so, but I had fun doing them regardless. And yeah, I had mixed feelings about sticking Snoop on an NWA page, but Ren’s features aren’t distinct enough (see what I did there? I kid, we have fun here). Sidenote: the Casey Jones is a grey-scale sketch; I dropped in some digital colors on top of the photo as an experiment.
